2. Conditions for purchasing

These terms and conditions govern purchases made by consumers through our online store.

Before confirming your order, you can review these terms and conditions, the products, delivery details and the total amount.

Alcoholic beverages

Purchases of alcoholic beverages are restricted to individuals who meet the legally required minimum age. We may carry out the necessary checks to comply with applicable sales and delivery restrictions.

Due to legal, destination or transport restrictions, certain orders may be subject to a limit of six units of alcoholic beverages or a lower limit. The applicable limit will be communicated before confirming the purchase.

If we identify a restriction after payment, we will contact you to agree on a solution and refund any items we are unable to supply.

Business and B2B purchases

If you wish to purchase on behalf of a company, for resale or under professional conditions, please email us before placing your order. Use the email address provided on our contact page, INFO@YOURSPANISHCORNER.COM, to enquire about the applicable B2B terms.

3. Shopping with an account or as a guest

Registration is not required to make a purchase. You can place your order as a guest.

Creating an account is convenient for checking orders, accessing invoices and managing your details for future purchases.

In both cases, we will need the information required to process your order, arrange delivery and comply with applicable legal invoicing obligations. Shopping as a guest does not remove the need to provide this information.

Please check your address, postal code, telephone number and email address carefully. If you notice an error after purchasing, notify us as soon as possible.

If you have an account, keep your password secure and inform us of any unauthorised access.

The processing of your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

4. Products, packaging and food information

Product pages provide the characteristics and information you need to make an informed purchase.

For food products, pay particular attention to ingredients, allergens, quantities, storage instructions and directions for use. Mandatory food information must be available before purchase, subject to legal exceptions relating to dates, and must accompany the product upon delivery.

Packaging changes and catalogue updates

Manufacturers may update their packaging designs and product information. Sometimes we become aware of these changes after they have taken place, meaning that certain images or descriptions may still need updating.

We work to keep our extensive catalogue as up to date as possible. If you notice any differences, please let us know. We appreciate your help in reviewing and correcting them.

Responsibility for labelling lies with the food business operator designated by applicable regulations, without prejudice to Your Spanish Corner's obligations as a seller.

Changes in packaging design do not justify changes to the agreed product characteristics or substitutions without your consent.

If a difference affects ingredients, allergens, quantity, storage requirements or any other relevant characteristic, please contact us before consuming the product so that we can investigate and offer the appropriate solution.

We may add or remove items from our catalogue. Such changes do not, in themselves, affect purchases already agreed upon.

5. Prices, minimum order and shipping costs

Prices are displayed in euros and include the taxes applicable to the transaction.

The minimum product order value is €35, excluding shipping costs.

Before confirming your order, you will be informed of the total amount payable to Your Spanish Corner, including shipping costs and any other applicable charges.

The price accepted when placing your order will not change as a result of subsequent catalogue updates.

You can check shipping destinations and transport conditions on our Shipping Rates page.

Customs and import charges

Some destinations may be subject to customs procedures, import taxes, duties or handling charges.

When these charges are not expressly included in our offer, they will be payable by the recipient in accordance with the regulations of the destination country. Before purchasing, we will inform you of their possible application and, where they cannot be calculated in advance, of that circumstance.

The recipient must cooperate with any import procedures legally required of them. If you have questions about a particular destination, please contact us before placing your order.

6. How to place and confirm your order

To make a purchase:

  1. Add the products to your shopping cart.
  2. Enter or check your shipping and billing details.
  3. Select the available shipping and payment options.
  4. Review the order summary and accept these terms and conditions.
  5. Confirm your purchase and complete the payment.

Before confirming, you can correct your details and modify your shopping cart.

The contract is concluded when you confirm the purchase, accept these terms and conditions and successfully complete the payment.

Your order will be available for viewing on our website. Once it has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email.

If you cannot find your order information or notice anything unusual, please contact us.

7. Payment methods and invoices

You can pay by bank transfer, using the cards accepted by our platform, PayPal or Bizum, depending on the options available during checkout.

If you choose bank transfer, you will receive the bank details and payment instructions at the email address provided when confirming your order. Selecting this option does not mean that payment has been completed: the transfer must be received and verified. This process may take between 24 and 48 business hours, depending on the processing times of the banks involved.

Other payment methods, such as Google Pay or Apple Pay, may also be offered as they become available. The valid options will be those displayed during checkout.

Payments are processed through a platform with security measures designed to protect transactions. If you notice anything unusual or have questions, please contact us.

We may carry out proportionate checks where there are reasonable indications of fraud. We will never ask for your online banking password or the codes used to authorise transactions with your bank.

Viewing and downloading invoices

Your invoice will be available once our system has accepted the payment.

If you have an account, you can download it from My Account → Order Details, within your order history.

If you purchase as a guest, we will send you a link to access your order information and download the invoice.

Electronic invoices will be provided with your consent, which you may withdraw. You can also request a paper invoice free of charge through our contact channels.

8. Availability and order preparation

We work to keep our catalogue availability up to date. Occasionally, an item may become unavailable or experience a restocking delay after an order has been placed.

We restock products weekly. If the unavailability of an item affects preparation or the expected delivery time, we will inform you.

We will not substitute products with different items or increase the amount charged without your consent.

If we are unable to supply an item, we will explain the available options and refund the corresponding amount without undue delay where applicable. If the issue affects the entire purchase, we will respect your applicable rights.

If you wish to modify or cancel an order, please notify us as soon as possible. We will check whether we can still stop its preparation or dispatch. This does not limit your right of withdrawal where applicable.

9. Delivery times and conditions

Delivery times depend on the destination, the products and the dates involved. Before purchasing, you can check the applicable shipping information.

During periods of high demand, delays may occur in order preparation or transport. Product restocking may also affect delivery times.

If we become aware of an issue that changes the expected delivery time, we will inform you. You can contact us to check your order status.

The delivery times communicated and agreed upon form part of the purchase. If no other delivery period has been agreed, the general statutory delivery period will apply. Delays do not remove your rights to demand fulfilment of the contract or terminate the purchase where applicable.

Please provide a complete address and try to ensure that someone is available to receive the order. If there is an incorrect address, an absence or a refusal of delivery, we will assess the circumstances before determining the consequences.

Any additional costs must be justified and comply with the information provided and applicable regulations. The amount paid for the order will not be automatically forfeited.

10. Transport and Your Spanish Corner's responsibility

When Your Spanish Corner arranges shipping, we are responsible to you for the loss of or damage to the products until you, or a person designated by you, physically receive them.

If an issue occurs, you can make a claim directly to Your Spanish Corner. We will manage the necessary checks and claims with the transport company.

You do not need to resolve the problem with the carrier first, and any solution to which you are legally entitled will not depend on whether the carrier compensates us.

If you independently hire a carrier that we have not offered, the risk may transfer when we hand the goods over to that carrier, in accordance with the law.

Extraordinary events will be assessed under applicable legislation and will not result in a general exclusion of our obligations or your rights.

11. Refrigerated products

We do not sell frozen products. Some items in our catalogue require refrigerated storage, such as certain cheeses, cured meats and unpasteurised gazpachos.

For these products, we use insulated packaging and cooling packs. Transport is carried out using a conventional delivery service, without refrigerated vehicles.

Our preparation and shipping system must maintain the necessary storage conditions until delivery. The use of conventional transport does not mean that the customer agrees to receive deteriorated products or waives any rights.

We may limit or suspend these shipments when temperatures, delivery times or destination conditions do not allow the products to be adequately preserved. If this affects a paid order, we will contact you to agree on a solution.

Upon receipt, store the products as soon as possible according to the instructions on their labels.

If a product arrives deteriorated, leaking, with a damaged seal or you suspect it has not been stored properly, do not consume it and notify us. We will investigate the issue and apply the appropriate solution.

12. Product dates and storage

Each product has its own shelf life. Some have short expiry periods, while others can be stored for longer.

We aim to dispatch items with the longest available remaining shelf life, taking into account their nature and supply chain, so that they are suitable for transport and reasonably expected use. Where specific information about a short shelf life is available, it will be indicated in the relevant offer.

We do not sell food products past their expiry date. If you receive an expired product by mistake, do not consume it and contact us.

Use-by dates and best-before dates have different meanings. Always follow the storage instructions and, once the packaging has been opened, the consumption instructions.

We are not responsible for deterioration caused exclusively by incorrect storage or use after delivery. This does not limit our responsibility for problems that already existed when the product was received.

13. Damaged, incomplete or incorrect orders

We recommend checking the packaging upon delivery. If you notice damage, moisture or signs of tampering, try to record this with the delivery driver and take photographs.

Contact us as soon as possible and provide your order number, the affected products and a description of what happened. Photographs of the item, packaging, batch number and dates help us investigate the issue.

Keep these items while we handle the case, provided it is safe to do so. If you cannot keep a food product for safety reasons, please let us know.

Signing for delivery, failing to note damage on the delivery note or not having photographs does not, in itself, mean that you lose your rights.

You may also report the issue to the carrier to help document it, but Your Spanish Corner will remain your point of contact for handling the claim.

14. Right of withdrawal: returns due to a change of mind

If you purchase as a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from receipt of the products to notify us of your decision to withdraw from the purchase, without having to provide a reason, subject to the exceptions established by law.

The full conditions for exercising this right, including the notification procedure, return deadlines, applicable exceptions, costs, refunds and withdrawal form, can be found on our Right of Withdrawal page, which forms an integral part of these terms and conditions of purchase.

On that page, you will also find the procedure for reporting issues involving damaged, defective or incorrect products, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

15. Legal guarantee

We are responsible for any lack of conformity in accordance with applicable legislation.

If an item is defective or does not match what was agreed upon, you will be entitled to the remedies provided by law: repair or replacement and, where applicable, a price reduction or termination of the purchase contract.

The applicable remedy will be provided free of charge, including any necessary transport costs.

In Spain, the general liability period for lack of conformity of new goods is three years from delivery. For food products, its application takes into account the nature of the product, its expected shelf life and its storage conditions. This does not mean that a food product must last for three years.

16. Customer service and complaints

If you experience a problem, contact us by telephone, WhatsApp, email, contact form or post.

We will keep a record of your complaint and respond within the applicable statutory period. Our primary aim will be to clarify what happened and find a solution.

If we are unable to resolve the matter directly, you may contact the relevant public consumer protection services and applicable alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

In Spain, you can seek advice from the Municipal Consumer Information Offices and regional consumer protection authorities. For certain cross-border European complaints, you may contact the European Consumer Centre in your country.

Where applicable, we will provide you, on a durable medium, with information about the competent alternative dispute resolution body and our participation in that procedure.

Recourse to consumer arbitration will depend on the applicable membership or acceptance requirements. These terms and conditions do not imply that Your Spanish Corner is generally affiliated with any consumer arbitration scheme.

Using these channels does not limit any other rights or means of redress available to you under the law.

17. Applicable legislation

These terms and conditions are governed by Spanish law and applicable European regulations, without depriving you of any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of habitual residence.

Relevant legislation includes:

If a dispute requires judicial proceedings, jurisdiction will lie with the courts determined by applicable law, respecting consumer rights.

18. Updates to these terms and conditions

We may update these terms and conditions for future purchases. Each order will be governed by the version accepted at the time of purchase, without prejudice to mandatory legal provisions.
